Cleveron’s record – five new clients in two months

02.07.2019 | Cleveron, Decathlon
Cleveron partnered with the world’s largest sporting goods retailer Decathlon S.A, which has a total of 1,500 stores. Decathlon is the fifth large enterprise to be added to Cleveron’s list of clients in the past two months.

Cleveron’s CEO Arno Kütt stated that this is another step towards the Cleveron’s goal, which is to give people time and free them of the task of standing in line waiting for a parcel. “The growth of e-commerce is not a surprise to anyone. Successful retailers are looking for solutions on how to deal with growing parcel volumes because it increases the workload for employees and brings additional costs. Queuing in the store to get a parcel also makes for a negative customer experience,” explained Kütt. „Decathlon is known as an innovation-minded company, who, similarly to us, values the time of both its employees and customers. With our products, Decathlon can now hand out parcels in a matter of seconds,“ added Kütt.

Cleveron’s lockers and parcel robots have been deployed by Decathlon’s Hungarian branch. According to Decathlon Hungary’s Online Marketing Director Gergely Román, the total number of parcels ordered via their online store has grown by 40% in one year. „We are investing approximately €250,000 this year to offer the best service for our customers. All in an effort to give them more time to be outside and be active,“ added Román. The company confirmed that they are planning to install Cleveron’s products in several stores across Hungary this year.

In addition to Decathlon, Cleveron widened its operations across Europe. In May, Cleveron began cooperation with the Czech logistics company Zàsilkovna and the Norwegian sporting goods retailer XXL. New Zealand’s The Warehouse was added as a client along with Latin American retail giant Falabella Retail, which is based in Chile. To date, Cleveron has a total of 22 clients all over the world, including the world’s largest retailer Walmart.

Decathlon’s Hungarian branch is a part of Decathlon S.A., which is the world’s largest sporting goods retailer. It has a total of 23 stores in Hungary and is active in 51 countries, with 1,511 stores in total. The total revenue for the group reached $12.8 billion in 2018. Decathlon uses Cleveron 402 and two Cleveron 301’s to hand out online orders. Customers who have placed an online order can simply come to the store, insert their order code at the parcel robot and retrieve their parcel in seconds.
