Walmart and Cleveron to consolidate cooperation in click-and-collect technology / Press Release

Walmart execs visited Estonia to explore future click-and-collect solutions with Cleveron and strengthen their partnership.

Tallinn, Estonia, June 22, 2017 –Walmart’s high-ranking delegation visited Cleveron from June 19th to 21st to discuss future plans for click-and-collect technology development.

Walmart’s delegation, including Executive Vice Presidents Mark Ibbotson and JP Suarez and the Director of Corporate Development of Walmart Global eCommerce Tim DeSoto, travelled to Estonia to learn more about Cleveron, our people and products, and discuss future click-and-collect solution development plans.

During the three-day visit, Walmart’s delegation toured Cleveron’s development centre in Viljandi. Cleveron’s Chairman of the Board, Arno Kütt, introduced the latest innovations and future development projects. The newest product, the self-learning click-and-collect robotic parcel locker, was introduced among others. On Monday, the delegation had lunch with the President of Estonia, Kersti Kaljulaid.

Walmart’s Executive Vice President JP Suarez commented on the visit by saying, “Cleveron’s been a good business partner for us. So we want to continue exploring opportunities with them in the United States and elsewhere.” Both Suarez and Ibbotson see Cleveron’s products as a key component in bringing physical and digital commerce together. Suarez further commented on PackRobot, saying, “The customer is delighted with the convenience, speed and interface.”

Cleveron’s robotics-based click-and-collect parcel locker terminal PackRobot was installed in the U.S. last fall. Walmart tested the terminals before expanding the solution to other stores nationwide.
