In cooperation with Cleveron, Telecommunications company Telia opened an innovative digital office in the heart of Estonia

Telia Eesti, one of the largest telecommunication companies in the Baltic States, opened another modern digital office on April 15, this time in the city of Paide. In the interactive outdoor self-service store, it is possible to sign contracts, communicate with customer support and receive goods.

This unique solution on a global scale was developed in cooperation between Telia and Cleveron. At the heart of this solution is Cleveron’s innovative parcel robot with a large touch screen, through which the customer can identify himself and communicate with customer service. In addition, there are two pre-filled Cleveron parcel robots in the digital office, which contain digital TV tuners, routers, SIM cards as well as telephones, for example. Through the payment solution attached to the screen, the customer can pay for the goods at the site and pick them up immediately from the parcel robot. Furthermore, customers can sign customer contracts and ask for technical advice at the smart self-service store.

According to Katre Liiberg, Head of Estonian Sales and Customer Service at Telia, self-service offices aim to start locating in regions where Telia does not currently have an office. We are happy to say that we’re moving in that direction, the opening of a smart office in Paide also means Telia's return to the capital of Järva County, where the last permanent office was closed in 2021.

"When we closed our traditional office in Paide a few years ago in the middle of the corona crisis, it was not an easy decision for us. However, we can be even more delighted now that we are back in Paide with a modern and environmentally friendly solution. We welcome all our Paide customers to actively use the new digital office and to give us feedback on it – so we can improve the services and digital solutions we offer even better," said Liiberg.

The cooperation between Cleveron and Telia started at the beginning of 2020. In May 2021 Telia opened its first self-service store in Tartu, Estonia at Lõunakeskus shopping centre. In December 2021, an external digital office was opened in the front area of the Rappel Center in Rapla.

"Cleveron's mission is to make the delivery of goods to end customers as efficiently as possible and thereby help people save time. I am happy that we can help Telia bring their services closer to the people of Paide again," says Cleveron CEO Arti Kütt. “Telia's smart self-service stores are unique in the world, and I believe that this is something the world is moving towards. Telia's digital offices once again reinforce the image of Estonia as a digital country," he added.

Telia's digital office in Paide is located at Pärnu 67 and is open on weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The hours are valid until further developments of the digital office, aiming to make the solution usable around the clock.
