Cleveron partners with Latin American retail giant Falabella Retail

20.06.2019 | Cleveron, Cleveron 402, Falabella Retail

Cleveron began cooperation with Chile-based Falabella Retail. The multinational chain of department stores is a part of Falabella Group, which is the third largest company in Latin America. Falabella Retail has installed Cleveron 402, which dispenses online purchases in physical stores.

Cleveron’s CEO Arno Kütt stated that Latin America is a new and undiscovered market for Cleveron. „Falabella's goal is to become Latin America’s leading online and offline retail platform and is undoubtedly a good partner, with whom to start cooperation on a new continent,“ added Kütt.

Falabella is the fourth company to be added to Cleveron’s client list in the previous weeks. In May, Cleveron started operations in New Zealand, as well as the Czech Republic and Norway. „We are widening our activities in different countries and on new continents. Hopefully soon we can truly say that robots from the tiny town of Viljandi have taken over the entire world,“ said Kütt.

Falabella started using the Cleveron 402 parcel robot, which has been installed in the Los Dominicos Shopping Centre in Chile’s capital city Santiago. Customers of the mall chain make their purchases online, choose in-store delivery and later receive their parcels from the robot using the order code. Cleveron 402 is also used by the world-famous fashion retailer Zara.

Falabella Group was founded in 1889 and is currently active in seven Latin American countries. In the fiscal year 2018, the company generated approximately US $13.3 billion in revenue. The percentage of online sales increased by 70%, reaching US$ 823 million within the last twelve months. Falabella Retail is the largest Latin American retail platform, with over 100 shopping malls in countries such as Chile, Peru, Colombia and Argentina.

Cleveron has clients in 18 countries, including in North and South America, Europe and New Zealand. Cleveron, who was been named Estonia’s Company of the Year in 2018,  is also opening an academy this fall to teach Robotics Software Development.
