The shortlist for the Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards 2019 has been announced.
Cleveron has been nominated in three categories:
- Cleveron 501 for Final Mile Innovation of The Year (The Final Delivery)
- Cleveron’s self-driving parcel delivery robot for Last Mile Delivery Innovation (The Journey)
- Cleveron for Supplier of The Year
Cleveron 501, an outdoor parcel robot for self-service grocery pickup, was unveiled to the public in August. The grocery robot operates as a self-service unit, issuing grocery orders to the end-user within seconds. Cleveron’s latest robot features two different temperature zones, which is suitable for most perishable food and non-perishable food, such as dairy products, meats, ice cream, berries or ready meals. Cleveron 501 offers a new delivery alternative, making online grocery shopping cheaper, faster and more convenient for both grocers and consumers.
The self-driving robot courier prototype was revealed on November 30th, at the Robotex International conference Generation R in Tallinn, Estonia. The self-driving robot courier is set to automate the last mile delivery and parcel handover from a courier to a client. This helps to manage the growing e-commerce parcel volumes more effectively and make the last mile delivery more convenient for the consumer. According to the Business Insider, Cleveron's courier robot “could solve a multibillion-dollar problem facing Amazon, Walmart, and Target”.
The third nomination is for Supplier of the Year. This particular award recognizes a company that has had a big effect on the industry in the past year, whether it’s investment in new technologies, work with postal operators, or impressive growth. 2019 has been a successful year for Cleveron, as we have partnered with numerous companies around the world. Currently, our solutions can be found in 24 countries on five continents. Cleveron has continued to invest heavily into R&D to offer the most innovative solutions on the market. This year, Cleveron launched its first grocery robot and has many projects in the works for the near future.

International Awards recognize the latest developments in the postal and parcel
industry. The winners will be announced during the Awards Ceremony on October 1
at Parcel+Post Expo in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
