Cleveron and Harreskind bring parcel robots to handle Black Friday on the DACH market

25.11.2020 | Cleveron

Estonian technology company Cleveron and Germany’s leading shopfitting & solution company HARRES Metall-design GmbH have teamed up to disrupt the DACH region’s last-mile delivery. Harreskind will be the official DACH distributor of Cleveron’s innovative parcel handover technology, suitable for large retailers, but also for local SMEs. The parcel and grocery robots help to provide a convenient self-service pickup, which is especially important during high parcel volume periods like Black Friday or Christmas.

Cleveron provides automation solutions to retailers around the world. Expanding to the DACH market is a logical step for the company. “E-commerce in the region was growing considerably even before the pandemic. In Germany, it was expected to reach €1,530 bn in 2020. COVID-19 has boosted that growth even more. This also brings an influx of parcels, creating challenges to the retailers and couriers,” said Cleveron’s CEO Arno Kütt. “Our solutions turn parcel handover into a convenient self-service, which saves time and money for the company but also for the customer. They are especially helpful handling peak times like Black Friday or Christmas. A smooth service keeps customers happy and customer satisfaction is the key to enhance customer loyalty,” explained Kütt.

Cleveron already has two parcel robots in Germany, in the stores of one of its world-renowned client. The company needed a reliable partner to further expand in the DACH region. “We are very happy to have found Harreskind, who will not only market our products but will also provide high-quality installation and on-site support,” said Kütt.

“We are happy about the partnership with Cleveron, one of the world’s leading drop and click & collect solutions specialists. For us, the partnership represents a strategic expansion of our offerings”, explains Lutz A. Schneppendahl, Managing Director at HARRESKIND. “More and more, customers are integrating online orders and research into their everyday shopping routines. Click & collect solutions offer bricks-and-mortar retailers an excellent opportunity to grow their loyal customer base by providing them with a consistently positive shopping experience. Attractive customer touchpoints make pick-up even easier: customers can select their preferred time, there is no waiting in line, and there are no shipping costs.”

Cleveron is an Estonian technology company, that has provided parcel automation technology for the world’s largest retailers for over 13 years. The award-winning company creates hardware and software for solutions used by retailers like Walmart, Falabella, Carrefour, Bilka and Woolworths. Cleveron also has solutions for SME-s, acting as 24/7 handover points for libraries, car dealerships, and smaller stores.

One mission, two brands, three companies: “ZUKUNFT EINRICHTEN” is the common denominator of the brands OTTOKIND and HARRESKIND, both of which are well-known across Europe for strategically optimized furniture solutions for plants and shops. Behind the brands are the companies Otto Kind GmbH & Co. KG, HARRES Metall-design GmbH and König Object Consulting GmbH. Together, they function as a tight network of industry specialists, all with proven expertise, many years’ experience, and innovative potential. Recently, this network was extended to include another affiliate: ZOK systems, s.r.o., which specializes in shop equipment and solutions.
