Falabella Retail opened its flagship store in Parque Arauco, Chile – it is the company’s largest and most innovative store in South America. At the beginning of last week, the mall opened its doors to the public. With 25 000 square meters on four floors, 16 meter-high gigantic screen, and more than 40 experiences for the customers, the aim is to transform Falabella customers’ shopping experience by implementing unique and innovative omnichannel solutions.
“Our entire team went out for a tour. You can see quite often in retail that teams are going out to see what others are doing, what are the products, what are the experiences, and how a certain category is selling,” said Francisco Irarrázaval, Corporate General Manager of Falabella Retail, in conversation with Chócale.
Falabella’s team travelled worldwide to look for the most innovative solutions; they visited more than 12 countries, including Korea and Estonia. The idea was to make Falabella Parque Arauco a landmark in the city so it would be a must-see attraction for the citizens of Santiago and those who are visiting.
“We would like it to be like an urban landmark. If a tourist comes to Chile for three days, they want to come and see the shopping centre, because here they will find something that they haven’t seen or experienced before,” said Irarrázaval.
Two of the many innovative solutions are Cleveron 402 parcel robots. The store has two automated Click & Collect points, where the customers can collect their online purchases quickly, contact-free and conveniently just by scanning a QR code. They receive their orders in seconds.
